Each month we want to feature a dog who has come into the Vancouver Animal Shelter, through no fault of their own, needing a soft place to land and a something to call their forever home.
Tulee just returned from a temporary foster! This is what her foster had to say: Tulee is a loving dog who settles nicely in the home and likes to lay in your bed with you.
She bonds closely with humans and loves to have people around. She does suffer from some anxiety and worries excessively when she is left alone so she will need a home with someone willing to work on that with her. She will howl and scratch at the door, so she isn’t suitable for apartment living.
Tulee is one loving and gorgeous adult dog, between 3 and 6 years old, who is just waiting for the right person to come along and give her a forever home. Tulee is athletic, smart, funny, playful, and loyal. She’s affectionate, friendly, and curious, and she’s especially good at making new friends. She’ll make you laugh with her playful antics, and you’ll love how she always wants to be by your side. She’s a very intelligent dog and is treat-motivated, which makes her easy to train. She loves food and will happily do tricks for a treat. Tulee is good with other dogs and loves to make new friends, but she has a high prey drive and isn’t good with cats or small critters. She would do best in a home without cats or other small animals. Tulee can be anxious so she needs an experienced owner who is familiar with her breed and can provide her with the training and exercise she needs. She would love an active family or person who can take her on long walks and adventures. Tulee is a great dog and is sure to bring lots of love and joy to her new home.
